With the “Roadmaps” feature for Project Online, and Azure DevOps users, a lot of organizations have already identified new and improved ways to reflect cross-project program and/or portfolio reporting.
“Roadmap” comes with a new way of storing data as its uses the CDS – Common Data Service. CDS is already a critical part of the Dynamics365 and PowerApps platform offering. If you are an administrator who needs to view all “Roadmaps” inside your organization, or add custom fields to the entity, then the following video guide will get you started.
In summary, I will show how to create a Model Driven PowerApp based on the “Roadmaps” entity of CDS. From here, we setup a simple view allowing us to bulk edit, bulk delete and in general customize the characteristics of the new “Roadmap” entity in Project Online and Azure DevOps.
